Filing Your Application
The most efficient way to apply to Geneseo is on-line. The College accepts both the SUNY Application and the Common Application.
The Common Application allows you to apply to over 300 selective colleges nationwide with one application, and requires submission of an essay and letter of recommendation. Geneseo also requests submission of our Parent Statement for those interested in providing us with their comments. You may either have your parent (or guardian) download this form and mail it to our Admissions Office, or one will be sent to you upon receipt of your Common Application.
The SUNY Application allows you to apply to any participating SUNY college with one application. Applicants are also required to submit our Supplemental Part II Application. Again, you may either download this form and mail it to us, or one will be sent to you upon receipt of your SUNY Application.
College Entrance Examinations
Applicants must submit the results of either the Scholastic
Aptitude Test (SAT I) or the American College Test (ACT).
In either case, the writing option is not required. Scores
should be sent directly from the testing agency, but scores
included on official transcripts will also be accepted.
