We recommend that you file your application 4-6 weeks prior to the deadline. (Please see chart.)

Decisions for the fall term are mailed on March 1.

Early Decision applicants for the fall will receive their decisions by mid-December.

Pre-Professional Programs in the Health Sciences

If you are interested in applying for any of Geneseo's combined degree programs through our Biology department, be sure to indicate your choice of major clearly on your application for admission.

These programs include 3-4 programs in Dentistry, Optometry, and Osteopathy; 3-1 and 3-2 in Nursing; 3-3 Physical Therapy (DPT); and Early Assurance with Upstate Medical University.

Filing Your Application

The most efficient way to apply to Geneseo is on-line. The College recommends the Common Application.

If you complete the Common Application, our Geneseo supplement is included on-line. (If you mail us your Common Application, we will mail you our supplement upon receipt of this application. This supplement differs from the SUNY Supplemental Part II Application described below).

If you choose to file the SUNY Application you are required to also submit our Supplemental Part II Application. Again, you may either download this form and mail it to us or submit it online.

FOR PARENTS ONLY

Geneseo greatly values your input-that of the parent or guardian-as an important element in the application process. Whether your son or daughter has filed the Common or SUNY application, we encourage you to complete our Parent Statement form and submit it to the Admissions Committee at any time during the application process.

College Entrance Examinations

Applicants must submit the results of either the Scholastic
Aptitude Test (SAT I) or the American College Test (ACT).

In either case, the writing option is not required. Scores
should be sent directly from the testing agency, but scores
included on official transcripts will also be accepted.
